Early milestone for valentine's day!

This is an early entry due to two wonderful people who gave us the most incredible surprise yesterday: First off, Veoh user Morganhawk801 is in the process of uploading the whole Comet-San series (79 episodes), and then Rafael Quiróz found them and shared the news with the group! Isn't that great? The original episodes in japanese, still full of magic and memories!

Aprovechamos el editorial de febrero para anunciar dos acontecimientos increíbles! Morganhawk801, usuario del sitio de videos VEOH, está subiendo los 79 episodios de la serie de Señorita Cometa y Rafael Quiróz nos avisó ayer de su descubrimiento!

Son los episodios originales en japonés, pero aún llenos de magia y recuerdos que un día volveremos a vivir como ayer...

Gracias a todos y cada uno que hacen posible que Cometa regrese a la tierra una vez más!!

Happy Holidays!

Whether you celebrated Christmas, Kwanza, Three wise Kings, new year is here!

I have been through a lot last year and now I am just hoping this year to be at least half hard as last one. I would appreciate that. Seems like personal, emotional, financial and health problems rushed together at once and fell on top of me. It has been difficult to overcome that tsunami but I have always a backup plan. It's time to put it to work.

Well... enough about me, we're not here to hear my complaints, my situation is not better and it's not worse than almost everybody on this planet earth. I wonder how's everything on planet Beta!! Maybe I should move up there!

My best wishes for all of you is that all your wishes come true. And that this year we have health, at the end, is all we need to keep going.

Felices fiestas!

Ya sea que hayan celebrado Navidad o día de reyes, el año nuevo está aquí!

He tenido un 2009 malo malo, así que espero este 2010 sea al menos la mitad que el anterior. Una avalancha de problemas de salud, familiares, laborales se me echaron encima y es hora de que no veo claro. He pasado pruebas, pero esta ya se me está haciendo demasiado fuerte. Tengo un plan de recuperación que necesito poner en marcha.

Basta de tristezas. Estoy seguro que no vinieron hasta acá para escuchar mis lamentos, muchas otras personas en la tierra están mejor o peor que yo... Me pregunto como van las cosas en el planeta Beta, quizás vaya siendo hora de mudarse allá...

Mis mejores deseos para todos los cometómanos y que en este año se cumplan sus propósitos. LO único que nos hace falta para ello es tener salud y con eso se logra todo lo demás...

Winter is upon us!

OK, it is not officially winter, but the cold weather and the snow has started to show up. It almost feel like episode 78...

I couldn't post anything last month, so this will cover november and december news.

As you all know, I had been away from the group because I was feeling there was not much respect for the series and people kept talking nonsense and not stopping even when they were told to do so, but there will be new management and I hope that will change thing, so I am coming back!

Yesterday I have registered for the second time, hoping that this time we will focus more on the series and less on personal matters, religion, politics and sexuality (issues that a neverending story, since no one can agree to everything and they just go on (like the ENERGIZER bunny) and on and on...

I wish myself to have a good time this time and to keep working as hard as I have been doing it since I joined this project.

Ha llegado el invierno!

Bueno... quizás no oficialmente, pero el clima frío y las nevadas han empezado a caer, y se siente como en el episodio 78.

No hubo entradas el mes pasado, así que ahora haré dos en una, porque tengo algo que comentar:

Como todos saben, estuve alejado del grupo de Yahoo por diferencias ideológicas, pero me han dicho que habrá nuevo moderador y eso me anima a creer que pueden cambiar las cosas para bien. He regresado! Ayer me dí de alta de nuevo y ahora espero que nos enfoquemos más en lo importante y menos en asuntos personales, temas religiosos, de política y de sexualidad, en los que nunca nos pondremos de acuerdo, y por lo tanto nos hacen perder tel tiempo ya que sólo duran y duran más que el conejito de ENERGIZER...

Ojalá esta vez ya no tenga que alejarme, porque yo sí tengo muchas cosas que hacer, como lo he demostrado desde que me uní a este proyecto.

October has always been a special month and not only for the moon, could be because it is my birthmonth...

This time we have two issues worth celebrating:

(http://proyectocometa.webs.com) The relaunching of the Original Comet-San website (Lazarus) which last update was done back in October 1st. 1999. We thank our friend Juan Manuel who took charge of the difficult task and did it in a snap! (He never said if he had help from Beta Star)... During this 10 years, a lot has happened with this project, and that is thanks to everybody who has participated.

The other new is that we were contacted by Alicia Flores Cataño from Caaliope (Dubbing & Distribution) Mexico, DF, who was looking to inquire about the rights to take Miss Comet home and remaster it, dub it, all the works, for distribution in Mexico and rest of Latin America. We told her to contact Kokusai-Houei i Japan and offered her all in our hands to get that project done!

Maybe now Ms. Yumiko Kokonoe could be able to attend the relaunching of her series in Mexico, that could be the perfect excuse, dont you think? In Mexico, she has a very special place in our hearts and she will be welcomed as she deserves, as the most famous japanese woman in Mexico!

Octubre siempre me trae sorpresas, quizas sea porque es el mes de mi cumpleaños.

En esta ocasion celebraremos dos cosas: El relanzamiento de la pagina original de Lazarus dedicada a la serie de Cometa (http://proyectocometa.webs.com) Gracias a la destreza de nuestro compañero Juan Manuel, y que decidimos hacer este primer dia de Octubre, porque su ultima actualizacion habia sido este mismo dia, solo que de 1999. Dentro de todo este tiempo, han sucedido muchisimas cosas muy buenas para todos, dentro y fuera del grupo de fans y una de ellas es la siguiente:

Fuimos contactados por la Srita. Alicia Flores Cataño de Caaliope (Dubbing & Distribution) Mexico, DF pues buscaba informes acerca de quien tuviera los derechos de la serie para su doblaje y relanzamiento en Mexico y latinoamerica. le comunicamos que se trataba de Kokusai-Houei y le dimos todo el apoyo necesario quedando en contacto para futuras referencias. Ojala y se llegue a buenos terminos y que pronto gocemos de la serie, que aunque ya no cuente con nuestras voces queridas del recuerdo, estamos seguros que con la tecnologia actual, sera altamente disfrutable por quienes la añoramos!!

Ojala La Sra. Yumiko Kokonoe tenga en estos proyectos una excusa perfecta para visitarnos en Mexico, donde sera recibida como lo que es, la actriz/cantante japonesa mas famosa en Mexico...

Its always nice to fine people who share interest similar to ours and we made contact with a sister page, through our friend Mr. Mom, who told Iku Kaneko about us and now we appear in a website honoring Mr. Mitsunobu Kaneko, who was a guest star in episode # 51 "The wonderful straw boat". Es agradable encontrar en nuestro camino personas afines a nosotros, y a traves de nuestro amigo el Sr. Mom, quien hablo de nuestra pagina con Iku Kaneko, hemos hecho contacto con la pagina suya, que esta dedicada a la memoria del actor Mitsunobu Kaneko, quien aparecio en un episodio de Senorita Cometa, el numero 51 "El maravilloso bote de paja", Felicidades y que siga el trabajo!

August is time to renewing

Welcome back, friends...

We start another year renewing this site's package and I am still trying too get on track after the YouTube experience. I have found another video host (www.viddler.com) and now soem of the clips we share are there, the rest is on VEOH, who has proved the most reliable.

I am glad we have another year to enhance, improve and grow this site, just for all of you Comet-San fans out there! Time to celebrate!

Empezamos un nuevo año conla renovacion de la suscripcion de este sitio y aun estoy tratando de organizar las cosas tras la perdida del canal de YouTube. He encontrado un sitio nuevo, menos conocido pero confiable, llamado www.viddler.com, donde he subido, ahora si, organizadamente, los video clips de intros y canciones, los episodios completos siguen estando en VEOH.

Me da gusto poder decirles que tenemos un año mas para seguir creciendo, mejorando y compartiendo en este fabuloso lugar que pertenece a Srita. Cometa (Yumiko Kokonoe) y quienes seguimos su carrera.

Good news, bad news

Time goes by so quickly, specially when there's trouble and other worries. I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that YouTube cancelled my account (and all Comet videos with it) because someone claimed I had illegal postings. Too sad, specially when YouTube's content is 99.9% illegal and they know it. I have seen people posting entire movies splitted in 10 or more segments, since YouTube doesn't allow clips bigger than 10 min. Of course I was devastated, but theres nowhere to complain, except post mail and I rather forget about them (I haven't visited YouTube since) than keep crying.

The good news is that I am renewing this domain for another year and I will try to upload all those video clips here, directly. Still don't know how to do it, but I am sure it can be done.

Que rapido pasa el tiempo, ya paso Junio y estrenamos Julio. Tengo dos noticias, una buena y una mala. La mala primero, y es que me cancelaron la cuenta los de YouTube, y de paso todos los videos de Cometa -ahora solo quedan los de VEOH, porque alguien de Veranda Ent. se quejo de un clip de una pelicula de Resortes. Muy mal, porque YouTube tiene 99.9% de contenido "ilegal" y ellos lo saben, He visto usuarios con peliculas completitas divididas en 9-10 partes por el limite de tiempo que tiene YouTube. No encontre a donde quejarme, YouTube solo tiene su direccion postal de California, pero prefiero ya no lidiar con ellos. Desde entonces he borrado su direccion de mi browser y no he regresado.

La buena noticia es que renovare el dominio y preguntare como hacer para subir los videos directamente aqui, para que ya no venga nadie a reclamarme. Aun no se como se hace, pero debe ser posible.

Gracias por sus visitas y su apoyo, ojala que de ahora en adelante solo haya buenas noticias, asi que sigan frecuentandonos para que esten al corriente. Hasta pronto!

41 years ago on June 3rd. 1968, Japan saw the beginning of a new era in the Comet-San series. Parents changed and the kids didn't seem to notice it. The episode celebrating this date is THE FLYING CAR, where the kids are eager to drive and try to fix an old pot but when Comet sees that they will never succeed, feels sorry for them and thanks to the magic of the baton, takes them on a trip along the galaxy, something they will never forget. In only six months time the series would end, only to stay forever in our minds and in our hearts.

* Hace ya 41 anos, el 3 de junio de 1968 para ser exactos, en Japon se veia el incio de una nueva temporada dentro de la serie de la Srita Cometa. Cambiaban de padres y los chiquillos como si nada. El episodio que salio al aire en esta fecha fue EL AUTO VOLADOR, que trata de los ninos, quienes quisieran porder manejar un auto viejo y destartalado y tratan de arreglarlo. Cuando Cometa ve que nunca podran hacerlo andar, utiliza su magia para darles un viaje inolvidable a traves de la galaxia, donde veran a las constelaciones y la via lactea. Dentro de seis meses terminaria la serie unicamente para quedar impresa en nuestras mentes y nuestros corazones.

We wish you a Happy Birthday today and that all your dreams come true! That you enjoy health and the good company of your loved ones. We are celebrating today in Mexico city ( wish I was there ) and soon we all be wearing our nice t-shirts with Comet-San logo. This time I would like to thank to Mom, Lorenzo, Jorge, Juan, Dan, whose major support has helped go further in this dream.
